ONE-TO-ONE SUPPORT IN NATURE
Supportive walks
Some conversations flow more easily when you’re walking side by side.
We walk together for an hour. No rush, no destination we have to reach, and no need to know exactly what you want to say.
Simply outdoors. Moving gently. With space for whatever comes up along the way.

Perhaps you simply need someone to walk beside you.
Not every conversation needs a solution.
Sometimes you want to share what’s on your mind. Say your doubts out loud. Take a moment to reflect on what has happened, what is changing or what is weighing on you.
During a supportive walk, I walk beside you for a while. I listen, offer another perspective when it helps and make space for whatever you are experiencing in that moment.
A supportive walk can make space for…
Wishing for a baby and fertility
Pregnancy and preparing for birth
Your birth experience
Postpartum and the transition to motherhood
Pregnancy loss or the loss of a baby
Finding yourself again as a woman and a mother
The intensity, uncertainty or overwhelm of the early parenting years
Or simply… something that’s been on your mind
Why walk?
Sometimes words come more easily when your feet are moving.
Walking side by side feels different from sitting face to face.
You don’t have to keep looking at each other. Silence is welcome. Your body is moving while your mind gradually finds a little more space.
We walk gently, at your pace. There are no kilometres to cover or deadlines to meet. Would you like to pause, sit on a bench or turn back a little earlier? Then that’s what we’ll do.
The walk simply gives us room to talk, breathe and spend some time outdoors.
There’s nowhere you have to get to. Just come and walk with me.
How does a supportive walk work?
We meet at one of the regular walking locations in the Wetteren, Ghent or Aalst area. That’s where our walk begins.
From the agreed starting time, we have 60 minutes together. We walk at your pace and let the conversation unfold naturally. No fixed route to finish, no distance to cover and no rush.
Would you like to bring your baby? Of course they’re welcome. We’ll choose a location and route that work for a pushchair.
And if you want to pause, sit down or linger somewhere because the conversation calls for it, that’s absolutely fine.

-
Hospiesbos · Wetteren
This is where the idea for supportive walks began.
Hospiesbos is my own little patch of woodland in Wetteren. It’s where I go when I need fresh air, movement and a little space in my head.
It’s a place for slowing down rather than covering kilometres, which makes it a natural fit for these walks. We walk gently, pause whenever we like and let the conversation guide the route.

-
Damvallei · Ghent
A place that has been part of my life for much longer.
When we lived in the Ghent area, we came here often. Before my pregnancy, week after week throughout it, and later with our daughter in her pushchair.
Damvallei is flat and easy to access, making it a lovely choice during pregnancy or if you’d like to bring your baby in a pushchair.

-
Kalkense Meersen
For anyone who prefers a little more open space.
Kalkense Meersen is a wide, open nature reserve with grasslands, water and plenty of room to walk.
It’s a lovely choice if you enjoy being outdoors but feel less at home among the trees. Here, too, we walk gently at your pace and let the conversation shape where we go.

Good to know
-
No. This is a gentle walk rather than an exercise session. We walk at your pace and can pause or sit down whenever you need to.
-
Absolutely. If you’d like to bring your baby in a pushchair, we’ll choose the most suitable location together.
-
A little rain doesn’t have to get in the way — we are in Belgium, after all 😉. If the weather is really poor, we’ll discuss rescheduling the walk together.
-
No. I’m there as a doula: to listen, make space, offer another perspective and share information where appropriate. A supportive walk does not replace psychological or medical care.
Shall we walk together for a while?
You don’t have to wait until you know exactly what you want to say.
Perhaps your mind is simply full. Perhaps something has been weighing on you for a while. Or perhaps you just need someone to walk beside you.
You are welcome.
