Big siblings deserve time to prepare, too

A new baby brings changes for the whole family. For a child, it also marks the start of a new chapter: becoming a big brother or sister.

In this workshop, we help your child prepare for those changes in a warm, playful and age-appropriate way. Through stories, play and practical activities, we explore what a baby needs, how to handle a baby gently and what this new role as a big brother or sister means.

There is room for every feeling: joy and curiosity, as well as nerves, uncertainty or jealousy. Your child doesn’t have to feel excited to be included.

Depending on your child’s age, we use a baby doll, baby care items, picture books and simple activities. We finish with a little moment to mark their new role and a personal Big Brother or Sister Certificate to take home.

After the workshop

You’ll receive simple tips to keep the conversation going at home and help your child stay involved, step by step, as you prepare for your baby’s arrival.
