MOTHERS & MOON · ABOUT LINDSAY

Hello, I’m Lindsay.

Doula, founder of Mothers & Moon and mum to Rose.

I support women in Wetteren, Ghent, Aalst and the surrounding area during pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

I listen to your story, help you explore your options and stand beside you with calm, knowledge and confidence.

MY JOURNEY

Having missed that support myself, I know how much it matters to have someone stay by your side.

Why I became a doula

Becoming a mother changed me. Not only because I had a daughter, but also because my own pregnancy, birth and postpartum unfolded differently from what I had hoped.

What stayed with me most was how alone you can feel when you are not truly seen or heard. Only later could I put into words what I had needed at the time: calm, preparation, continuity and someone who stayed beside me without judgement.

That experience grew into a wish to offer other women the support I had needed myself. Not to steer their birth or promise a perfect experience, but to help them feel supported, informed and respected, whichever path their birth takes.

What you can expect from me

01 Gentleness without judgement

There is space for your whole story. For questions, doubts, emotions and whatever comes up along the way. With me, you don’t have to make things sound better, smaller or stronger than they are.

02 Calm and clarity

I listen, help you find perspective and share honest information. So that, rather than feeling overwhelmed, you can explore step by step what feels right for you.

03 Your story comes first

I don’t believe there is only one right way. Your wishes, boundaries and choices are always the starting point for my support.

Just Lindsay, too.

Beyond Mothers & Moon, I’m mum to Rose and share my life with Jeffrey and our cat.

My head is often full of ideas, but I find the most peace in a book, yoga, meditation or a long walk in the woods.

I love rituals, nature and the symbolism of the moon, as well as a grounded approach, clear agreements and practical solutions.

With a head full of ideas and feet that would rather be bare.

Warmth and knowledge

A warm heart matters. So does a strong professional foundation. That’s why I keep learning, deepening my knowledge and working with other birth professionals.
